Government Relations
The Government Relations staff advocates for the system’s strategic directions and goals, and promotes the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities by establishing effective relations with the legislature, Minnesota's congressional delegation, the governor’s office, other state and federal agencies and external entities.
The 2011 Minnesota Legislature convened Jan. 4. The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees approved the board's legislative agenda at its Jan. 19 board meeting.

Friends Action Network (FAN)
The Friends Action Network (FAN) is a project of the Government Relations Division. FAN provides a public grassroots type of approach toward getting citizens actively involved in supporting the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system’s annual legislative requests.
